Chase Challenge Standings after 7 Wks

November 4, 2009 10:09 pm
Edited on: November 4, 2009 10:14 pm

These are the standings after 7 weeks in the NASCAR.Chase Challenge

                        Week 6     Week 7     Total
                         Totals       Points       Points

YokoBlueWave      1977        234         2211
m56nascar56        2037        171         2208
concrete man        1833        237         2070
FOREPLUS             1831        234         2065
bluejay39             1881        171         2052
Sidd_Finch            1866        171         2037
HardToBeat20       1907        123         2030
D2Moo                 1817         210        2027
Section_725          1841         123        1964
jhzak                   1812         123        1935
Coach 348            1738         123        1861
heelFan28139       1644         210        1854

As we've seen over the first 7 wks, anyone can find a nut when they need to. The leader is Yoko, wait a minute for me to check the spreadsheet again, WTH Yoko is still in first after 3 rechecks. This is still a wide open competition, anyone can throw a shoe and DNF at any time as those who had Hamlin in wk 1 found out. Now that the mess called Taladega is behind us, and the Chase moves to Texas and the first of the final 3 races of the season.

I do hope to see better point totals than we as a group posted last Sunday. As I said in the Pick'em point post, my thanks to all who have participated in this from day 1 onward. It has been an honor to have this great bunch together on a weekly basis.

Now to make things right, I need everyone to exceed their usage quotas and get their connections interupted b4 they post this wk, so I can catch up.

Have a great last half of the week.

Pick'em Standings after 28 Weeks

November 4, 2009 9:11 am
Edited on: November 4, 2009 9:17 am

These are the standings after 28 weeks in the NASCAR.Pick'em

                            Week 27    Week 28    Total
                             Totals         Points      Points

Coach 348               2714            94        2808
m56nascar56           2541            78        2619
concrete man           2458            91        2549
bluejay39                2414            93        2507
heelFan28139          2333          115        2448
Section_725             2326            69        2395
FOREPLUS               1878             61       1939
D2Moo                    1707             94       1801
jhzak                      1684             94       1778
YokoBlueWave         1328           103       1431
Sidd_Finch               1108             40       1148
HardToBeat20            698            73         771

With only 3 races left in the season, it looks like only a few DNF's can keep Coach and JJ from winning the Cup. After the poor all around showing by everyone, the standings haven't changed much after the mess at Dega. M56 is hanging on to second, but third spot could do a flip flop with a poor showing by concrete man in any of the remaining events.

My thanks to everyone who has stayed in for the long haul.

Have a great week.
